TFM has been awarded an attractive additional volume of service logistics transactions

On 1st April 2017, TFM's After Sales Logistics department has launched a new project for an existing long-term logistics cllient. The scope of work includes the storage, in-/outbound handling and domestic rush deliveries of roughly 1000 IT part exchange orders per year out of our own Strategic Stock Locations (SSLs) in Zurich and Geneva.

The consignees will be mostly data processing centers of banks located in Switzerland. The deliveries occur 24/7/365 and must be handed over personally to the Field Engineers contracted by our client. Upon receipt of the 'rush ticket', each order must be picked and dispatched within 30 mins during office hours (resp. 45 mins during out of office hours). The delivery time must never exceed two hours.

This new project fits seemlessly into our existing after sales logistics operations and is therefore a welcome addition that will enable us to plan and coordinate our express logistics activities even more efficiently.

TFM has been granting its out-of-hours clients 24/7/365 standby service coverage since its establishment in 1998. By this important move forward, TFM further enhances its traditional footprint in the Swiss After Sales Logistics market.
